Bellapierre Cosmetics Lash Building Mascara

I'm not usually one for trying out new mascaras, it's one of those things that when I find one I like - I stick to it. That's where beauty subscription boxes come in handy. I got to try this Bellapierre cosmetics mascara in one of my Jolieboxes.

As you can see it comes in nice sleek black packaging with a silver stripe and the brand name printed on it. I like this style, I find a lot of mascara packing to be quite gaudy these days. The brush itself is not anything crazy or spectacular, just a medium sized bristle brush.

I really did like the way this mascara makes my lashes look. It doesn't to anything too much for volume but made them look really nice, long and defined. The formulation is quite wet, so no horrible clumps.

You can see here how much more defined my lashes look. I found this mascara stayed in place for quite a while but by the end of my working day it had smudged a little under my eyes. I think it makes a fabulous everyday mascara but I do like something to add that 'ooomp' for night time.

This mascara retails at £19.99 and is available from the Bellapierre website.

June Joliebox

Bon Anniversaire Joliebox!

Joliebox celebrated it's 1st Birthday in June, so I was very excited to receive mine. This box promised to be packed with a selection of their favourite French skincare products. Due to the shipping troubles, I received mine a little late so better late than never, here's what I received.

1. Yon-Ka Pamplemousse Protective and Vitalizing Cream for Normal to Oily Skin.
I love the fact that this is the first 'customised' box which meant that I recieved this product which was specifically for my oily skin type. This is a really rich moisturiser which doesn't take long to sink into the skin. It has a light citrus scent and feels lovely once applied. I am very keen to see how this works over a period of time, given it is a very generous 50ml I will have a chance to try it out properly.

2. Elysambre Long Eyelashes Mascara.
Although not the colour I would have chosen - a dark plum - I tried out this mascara and didn't have any major issues with it. It is a smaller brush than I usually use - I like them thick - but it applied well and separated my lashes nicely. Once applied it was hard to tell it wasn't black so I can definately get away with this for daily wear. It was also really easy to remove with a gentle eye makeup remover. This is a full size product and one which I shall certainly use up.

3. L'Occitane Angelica Hydration Cream.
Another facial cream, this time for hydration. It feels deliciously indulgent on the skin - a real treat and has a gorgeous fresh scent. If this is as good as it seems this could be the one product from this box I would definately re purchase.

4. I Love My JolieNails Nail File.
An additional non offensive product added in as a little space filler, not exactly luxury but hey, nail files get used.

5. Institut Esthederm Bronz Repair Body Lotion.
The final product is a tanning cream designed for use before and after tanning to help repair sun damaged skin and give a healthy glow. It is the one product I've not used as sadly I have no plans for a summer holiday this year *sob* but I do plan on giving this to my Mum who is returning from her holiday this week, to help moisturise and prolong her tan.

With 3 products which I know I will undoubtedly use up, I am very happy with this month's box.

What did you think of June's Joliebox? What is your favourite Beauty Box?
